The Trump Presidency

Ok, sure, but he was asked if he supported a clean DACA bill and the answer was yes, but actually no. It was an extremely clumsy stab at expressing what you were able to say quite succinctly. He doesn't support a clean DACA bill, so it's not exactly "blunted simplicity" to say "well, I do, but I define a clean bill as something quite apart from what the world understands a clean bill to be, so no."

And this is what we're supposed to be impressed by. Like SAV said: low bar.

I agree with Julio and Sav on this one. Trump doesn't know wtf he's talking about for the most part on immigration or any other issue. But the media have been talking all week about how he's psychologically not fit, and so when he comes out and just says normal words out of one of the holes in his face it seems like he's a stable genious. He's also really good at being a showman. One of the best I've seen.

Disappointed Trump is buckling on DACA. Tucker Carlson on the state run media channel took him to task for basically agreeing to sign anything the room brought him

Any amnesty bill passed just makes it harder for a conservative to win. It's all about votes for the left.

Yeah, we need immigration reform. Trump will not win the 2020 nomination if he proceeds with this foolish path.

This is the third time you've posted different iterations of the same data. At least this one is honest enough to include the caveat that one can't extrapolate based on the federal system.

But they are a particularly narrow and non-representative set of facts that you are using to "prove" a dishonest conclusion that is contradicted by the bulk of the broader studies of the issue.

And i asked you to please post the studies you referenced so we can discuss the merit of those.

Yeah. Democrats have overplayed the "Trump is stupid" card. Now it's going to be way too easy for him to show how far they were stretching the truth.

Yesterday, professional journalists praised

Donald Trump for remembering the names of members

of congress who were *sitting around a table with

name placards in front of them*

Just wait til our march!

Trump's version of a clean DACA bill includes border security provisions.

Pretty simple to me.

And, I'm not sure what definition of "clean bill" you are operating from, but Trump's idea of DACA-Wall legislation shouldn't naturally be precluded.

We're supposed to be impressed by the unscripted exchange, FYI, which has also been made pretty clear.

Trumps foreign policy seems like GWB's foreign policy but this time other countries legitimately think we will attack them. What happens when someone calls his bluff?

It was the most fascinating meeting Lindsey Graham has ever been a part of!

We attack them. Duh.
Then we redevelop their country as an American resort. The greatest American resort. And make them pay for it. You're gonna love it.

Oh, so the fact that the WH had to clarify that they didn't support a clean bill and that they originally dropped his line suggesting to Feinstein that he did from the transcript. Come on. You're just clearly and obviously mistaken here. Even the Washington Examiner for chrissake wrote it up this way.

Feinstein even said it directly. Clean DACA bill now, followed by comprehensive reform.

So in an unscripted exchange, he gives a muddled answer which confuses his caucus and requires walking back, but we're supposed to be impressed because he didn't drool on the table.

Low bar.
