Scoff at the bonuses all you want (that's what liberal elitists do)... But wage increases are forever. You've been demanding government force min wage hike for years, yet are silent when massive employees do it voluntarily?
 
I'm not scoffing at anything and yes wage increases are forever.
But like I said, if it looks too good to be true ...
and so far all we have is "looks"

we'll see. Give it at least a year or two before declaring this a success. These programs are judged not by a couple weeks but by years and in some cases generations

Not a Walmart fan at all nor any of the big box stores which I believe are actually anti-capitalist because of the restrictions on competition they impose. However, I do applaud them for investing into their company the windfall they will receive from tax reform.

Its pretty obvious what is going on and its scaring the marxists tremendously. Once the public realizes this is the only system of economics that truly empowers people to escape from poverty there is no going back.

It looks to be good to be true for you because you've been sold a bag of lies and you have bought in 110%. Just realize that you've been lied to and walk into the light. Freedom is the only course of action and not governmental control.

And as long as Marxists don't take command of our economy like the last 8 years we will have prosperity over the long haul. There will be a decline in Trumps presidency at some point. That is how the economy works. But that is not the time to overreact and go back to failed policies.

If I'm not mistaken we have a few WM employees that post here often. I wonder if they'd chime in?

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't balk at a pay raise and a bonus. But hey, people like 57 are skeptical so there's one in every crowd.

I am pretty shocked at how hard some are trying downplaying this.

Outside of Right Wing talking points it has hardly being referred to as a debacle.
Not far enough for some, but hardly a debacle

Leading an outside opinion to derive, it has been effective.
Perhaps this attempt at tax cuts will prove effective, we don't know.

$20 a week before taxes . Half a tank of gas is a half a tank of gas I guess

You conveniently ignore that on top of these increases total tax obligation will decrease. Families that work at Walmart will have around 5-10k more in 2018. Chump change I'm sure in your opinion.

As there was for ACA via Healthcare.gov that showed and gave dates of how incrementally ACA would be enacted.

Or is life just sunshine and roses the day Trump signed

There are tons of aids for tax preparers and corporate tax departments.

Simple things like that

There was an issue in NY State about property taxes.
Will my state income tax be deductible
Can I deduct home mortgage interest
Have my medical allowances changed
etc etc etc

just an over view for every day people
.............

The comparison is not at all useless, at least to your brothers eyes

yeah, walmart was barely scraping by before this tax bill

they had it rough

i understand now with all of those billions in profits during those bleak years

only now they could give raises or bonuses

I'm no mother and don't work at Wal-Mart, but anyone with kids is going to be thankful for a $1,000 bonus. People who haven't raised kids in a generation don't understand just how expensive it has become. Especially for those of us who are paying more than our fair share of health insurance costs now. The impact of that particular tax on the middle class is underrated for some reason.

This tax bill may in the end work out, none of us know.
But what is crystal clear is those all excited about on time thousnad dollar bonus' are being played for fools.
