The Trump Presidency

Chuck Jones, fmr president of United Steelworkers 1999,

in Indiana, is no snowflake nor fool-sufferer.

He just told a crowd of reporters & fmr Carrier workers in Indy:

“Donald Trump is a liar & an idiot” and “a con man pure & simple who sold us a bag of ****.”

#CarrierLayoffs – at Sully's Bar & Grill

I am as shocked that a union leader is criticizing Trump as I am when you post your twitter timeline or incoherent babbling.

Indeed. Nominal progressives should be seeing a lot more pressure (both during primaries and beyond) from the actual left, in the hopes they'll at least think twice before unflinchingly supporting garbage like this.

It isn't just progressives. Every progressive could have voted for the right thing here, and it wouldn't have mattered, there would have just been more "conservatives" whose arms were twisted into voting the other way. Like every other thing that gives big government more power, this will never go away.

Blow nails it.

"Trumpism is a religion founded on patriarchy and white supremacy...

It is the belief that even the least qualified man is a better choice than the most qualified woman

and a belief that the most vile, anti-intellectual, scandal-plagued

simpleton of a white man is sufficient to follow in the presidential footsteps

of the best educated, most eloquent, most affable black man."

I'm still confused on how the country who elected the liberal black guy twice overwhelmingly suddenly became a racist cesspool over night.

yet you think a document that viewed blacks etc as 3/5's as infallible

gtfoh

i don't know how you made the leap there and continue to use your misquote

but they continue to pay the price for voting for pieces of **** that don't think climate change is real

Right. Because had the voted for Hilary instead the hurricane wouldn't have happened.

It makes me sick that not a single Democrat could support Trump's tax bill.

But on taking away American rights? You bet, 55 of them will.

I'd already given up on Republicans when it comes to this issue

I think a vote on that is irrelevant. The government is going to government regardless of what is voted on.

What a dangerous ideology to implement at this level.

Ohhh it gets far worse thethe. The previous administration implemented this garbage in the Armed Forces. Funding was diverted from real war fighting capabilities to create diversity posts. Training dollars were diverted from teaching warriors how to fight...to teach them about the glories of diversity and the inherent evil of whiteness. Promotion boards have been instructed not to select the best candidate to be placed in charge of 5 billion dollar warships capable of starting nuclear armageddon, but to try to adhere to racial quotas instead.

Here's an example - http://cdrsalamander.blogspot.com/2017/07/diversity-thursday_27.html

but this one may be my favorite - http://cdrsalamander.blogspot.com/2017/03/diversity-thursday_23.html

Yes, you can demonetize videos because your advertisers don't want their brands associated with, say, racist toxicity. Why wouldn't you want to do that, if you wanted to retain those advertisers? You're quite an unusual free marketeer today.

Let's be serious. Google used the complaints of a few companies, about a few channels, to demonetize everyone they had an ideological problem with. Adpocalypse didn't need to be nearly as big as it was, but they followed the wisdom of another progressive and didn't let the crisis go to waste.

I just vomited in my mouth. Progressiveism is a disease.

The defense of these types of actions proves the hypocrisy of those on the left.

Can you point me towards some more in-depth reading on exactly what's happened and how?

Every Republican silent tonight on Trump’s bigotry should be ashamed.

It’s not enough to retire either -

if you don’t speak out and act

you’re not keeping your oath to the Constitution!

who voted for or defends this man ?

Trump going all in on denying he used ****hole.

Aside from that inconvenient things like facts seem to escape the left again.these are ****hole nations.

It is jarring when the evening news begins with a disclaimer suggesting

to Americans that they might want to excuse their kids lest they hear the vile,

racist language the @POTUS used today.

have you seen your thousand dollars yet ?
neither have the contractors in Atlantic City Trump stiffed

I'll try to find some links. Most of my knowledge on this comes from a few people I know who have reasonably successful channels and have been totally demonetized. It's taking them weeks to get explanations about why a single video was pulled from ads, and then the explanation is often that the content was considered offensive. Not that anyone complained, not that advertisers complained, not even an explanation of why it was offensive. Just that it was offensive.

This article discusses YouTube's initial steps in response to advertiser complaints. Given the size of YouTube and how quickly things were developing, I think their initial response was quite well done.

You don't think people are going to see this money now?

I just can't believe how the markets have responded to the economic policies set forth by this administration. We have never seen anything close to this. Can't wait to see what 4Q GDP numbers looks like.

Read some history.

Are you trying to say that the counties referenced do not have real issues? What is the argument here? We need to house these people because the countries they are from are not good for their kids but we can't say the country is not good?

Its a bit confusing to follow the logic here and why people are inflamed at Trump calling out a truth.

What country doesn't have "real issues"? I think the argument here is that you and Trump are saying something like a person's, or even an immigrant's, worth is based on where they come from.

I'd like to know what truth you think Trump is calling out.
