I disagree with your assessment of the "evidence" in the respective cases. I will leave it at that.
The power to recommend an independent counsel rests with the majority of the Judicial Committees. What I think or what congressional Democrats think doesn't mean a thing. Republicans could do it any time they wanted to, if they wanted to. Not too different from how the FISA warrant info could have been publicized months ago, if there were indeed compelling reason to have done so.
Personally, I will take calls for an independent counsel, etc, at face value if there's more information that warrants it and more specific understanding of what's at issue. Right now, what's going on in Congress is pure posturing. Hollering to the cameras about secret societies and insurance policies is some combination of theater and pure, cynical politics.
When your argument is Trump did business with Russians therefore collusion then your case is by definition vague.

It's almost as if Mueller's investigation isn't active and hasn't produced indictments, guilty pleas and plea deals. It's almost as if he's telling us everything he finds out right away. Meanwhile we await the release of a memo written by a right-wing hack job and/or staff. We haven't seen it yet (maybe soon) but it's REAL.
You would have been a hoot in the Watergate days.

Flynn and Papa-I'm too lazy to spell the rest most certainly are directly related to it and I have more reason than Mark Bowman to believe Manafort and Gates will be tied in as well. Sure, you believe these things 'directly relate' to collusion, and you may well be right in the end, but you can't prove it yet in any meaningful or coherent way, and that's the tail that we've been chasing for the past 6 months.
