Russia Collusion Scandal (aka A Leftist fantasy)

republicans so scared of a fantasy

they will do anything to undermine it and try to end it as soon as possible

pathetic bread

How different do you think that is from other campaigns? How do you define 'foreign agent'?

Carter Page was suspected of having been co-opted by Russian intelligence.

Paul Manafort owed his considerable living to Ukrainian/Russian political interests, and was deep in the hole to an oligarch.

Mike Flynn was working, undisclosed, on behalf of Turkey while a senior figure on the campaign.

Now, in the last case, it's not unusual for people involved in campaigns to have overseas business or lobbying interests--even unsavory ones--but Flynn's worth mentioning because he was so prominent (named NSA and reportedly shortlisted for VP).

If Hillary had a hood like Manafort running her camapaign, you'd probably have had a stroke.

And Flynn lied about what he was up to, to both Pence and the FBI.

Why are these bad things? We live in a global world. What is the difference with a member of a campaign that works for a multinational corporation? This narrow minded thinking that countries matter is silly. There are 'interests' by people all across the world. It just seems silly for a 'foreign' interest to be 'worse' than other interests.

At least I know I can count on you to say that if Trump is ever held accountable and impeached for and convicted of obstruction and other potential crimes.

Well Trump is being accused of 'Obstructing' a crime which was fabricated. So yes, I do have issues with trying to impeach him on those grounds.

He is accused of, and essentially admitted to on television, obstructing an ongoing investigation into possible crimes because he may have known about or committed crimes himself that the investigations were heading toward and continues to try to influence and obstruct it today. And you've yet to credibly justify any of it was fabricated or made up. But we've been going around and around in this circle for a while.

Paul Ryan asked about Dems calling for Nunes' gavel.

First words from Ryan: "I think they're just playing politics and I think they're looking for a political distraction, is what I get out of that. Look: the tax cuts are working. Tax reform is working."

This might be worse than the national emergency of needing to stop gays from getting married while the Iraq War was starting to go south on us.

You're Mr. America First. Maybe you should answer your own question.

I mean, is recruitment by a foreign intelligence agency or trading your influence to your oligarch creditor really = getting a check from GE or Samsung?

First off I'm not saying that foreign nationals are good. I'm arguing that the interests that are filtering into campaigns from multi-national companies are the same thing. You have wealthy powerful people around the globe trying to wield influence.

Not sure how that spits in the face of America First.

He asked Comey to drop the investigation into Flynn and fired him when he didn't. There isn't anything fabricated about Flynn's crimes.

Flynn would have been a great asset to Trumps team. I don't consider his 'crime' to be worth the black mark he was given. He should have fully disclosed his relationships but it would not have impacted the American people.

Trump knows the type of person Flynn was and what type of an asset he would have been.
