Jecki Lon Memorial Star Wars Thread

BTW Cy, of the 20 reviews I looked at on the first page. (BTW have 20 people seen TLJ recently enough to leave reviews?, I digress) only 6 of the reviewers have active RT accounts. Of the 4 of those that were negative all created accounts in the last 3 days, with 3 of the 4 in the last 5 hours. At least 2 of the reviews mention the Marvelization of something or another. 2 of them only reviewed one film. One who did leave multiple reviews only also reviewed (to 1 star) TFA and the other only also reviewed Tranformers movies and Star Wars. It's really rough. The other who have long accounts one left a mixed review (but still would count as positive on RT) the other left a positive review.

Again it's clear even if it isn't bots doing it. That alt-right DCEU group is trying to review bomb on RT Star Wars.

Where review bombing is much harder to happen like IMDB has a 7.5 rating.

lol you're talking about a space opera and you're talking about "facts"

but yes, anyone who doesn't like the film is a bot or an alt-righter

I think I've heard it all

I don't think that's true at all. To me this movie is on par with the other Jedi episode so it's far from perfect. But the RT audience score and whatnot did get hit with a troll attack. That was well documented the week it came out.

Yet that 0 gravity wasn't there when they dropped all the bombs in the beginning of the film

Ladies and Gentleman, I give you sturg. A man who doesn't even remember arguments he's made in the past.

What's sad is I can beat your argument in multiple different directions. You're a play thing. You're an untrained force user and I'm Darth Sidious.

Okay, and it’s still the 3rd lowest rated Star Wars movie on IMDB among users. A prequel film has a higher rating than it. Sad.

It's 1 tenth of a point behind RotS (which is far and away the best prequel film) you fail to mention that. or the fact that it's a full point better than either of the other prequel films. And that it basically has half the number of reviews. And when you look at the ratings, it is identical to RotS in the US and virtually identical in the top 1000. Where the difference is non-US voters which favor RotS and IMDB staff which greatly favor TLJ.

I’ve literally never watched a single thing he’s done. Not even Twink Peaks, Blue Velvet or Eraserhead. So, I can’t say.

I would recommend you see Blue Velvet. It's Lynch at his twisted best in an accessible movie. The first season-and-a-half of Twin Peaks is solid and is Lynch at his most linear (which isn't all that linear).

It’s the best prequel film, but still a pretty bad movie. Didn’t think I had to mention that.

But you didn't mention the rest of that. Like when the moronic pedants are done having a hissy fit there's a good chance the film will move up. I don't have the facts but as I recall that's what happened with RotS, it started out low like the other prequels before moving up a bit in retrospect.

Onto a more interesting topic than proving amateurs to be the amateurs that they are.

Rebels season 4 was pretty freaking brilliant. I mean the whole show was brilliant, but season 4 was the brilliant cherry on top. I'm gonna wrap spoilers below though I doubt few even watch it.

Holy crap the finale. Skipping ahead to a post Endor universe. You have Hera still alive, Sabine still alive, Kallus and Zeb still alive (and kind of fully assuming the Gimli/Legolas role) oh yeah Hera and Kanan had a kid, Captain Rex lived all the way to the battle of Endor fighting alongside Han and Leia, Ahsoka lives, Ezra perhaps lives? This sets up so much for the future. First off the glorious last episode where Ezra resists the Dark Side's temptation that would have had Palpatine have access to space/time is insane. I love about Rebels is the pure mysticism of it. It's so freaking wonderful and the role they all play is great in it. And it isn't just the force that's mystical (though through beasts like Loth Wolves and the force being Bendu we're treated to something never before seen on screen) there's a special bond that we rarely have seen. This shows the full training of Ezra, from someone who knows nothing to someone who saved his homeworld as something a little more than a Jedi. I will miss it dearly. I will be binging it shortly to watch the whole thing in a row. Reading the thread on reddit people who binged cause a whole lot of things I didn't.

so if someone doesn't like a film, they are an amateur

you are hilarious

When someone steps in with weak **** like you have then yes, they are amateurs. Notice I've not shat on SAV's opinions largely aside from debates that we had. It's only the people who bring up asinine points like why did the bombers drop bombs in zero gravity, or how is what Leia did a force pull, or so on so forth. I could cite the dumb things, but I already have corrected them.

I have secondhand embarrassment for ZTB right now so bad.

That line about owning sturg like an untrained force user was Leia "mary poppins" scene cringeworthy.
