The Trump Presidency

You laugh, but the current occupant of the Oval Office is evidence that many people share thethe's view on this. It has been blamed on numerous things; anti-white male sentiment, the scorn directed at Christianity, Masterpiece Cake scenarios, a surge leftward in journalism, Hollywood loudmouths, or just militant political correctness. Regardless, there was a strong and large sense of frustration that Candidate Trump was able to tap into. One would think that an opposition party that prides itself on diversity and acceptance would be curious about what actions and positions caused that outrage.

I understand some idiots think "the left are the fascists"

And they should be laughed at for saying such a dumb thing

Obviously trump won't be given credit by some of the crowd here. If denuclearization happens I suspect many in here will though.

Kind of event like this can firmly ensure a second term in office.

what censoring is going on again?

i mean, i see a president cry and moan about anything said about him and try to bully them

which i guess could be censorship

I'm not surprised that you are unaware of what is happening in the country. Read up about things outside of your bubble.

Don't forget that this whole charade, whatever it turns out to be, has been orchestrated by NK every step of the way.

PS: To be clear -- we need to talk to North Korea.

But Kim is not inviting Trump so that he can surrender North Korea's weapons.

Kim is inviting Trump to demonstrate that his investment in nuclear and

missile capabilities has forced the United States to treat him as an equal.

North Korea has been seeking a summit with an American president

for more than twenty years. It has literally been a top foreign policy goal

of Pyongyang since Kim Jong Il invited Bill Clinton.

Oh man this is going to be amusing when trump does more to solve world issues in 2 years than the last three presidents did over their whole term.

Whatever happened to IsIs? You know the ‘jv’ Terrorist regime that is running amok in the Middle East?

Sessions draft of a 5 year plan says one of their top priorities is "restoring the rule of law". That's pretty ominous for a country that leads the world in incarceration rate. I wish someone would ask him what the target rate is for incarceration? 10 million? 42% of Americans admit to having smoked pot. So if we catch every pot smoker that's 100+ million in prison?

As for Korea, democrats should be very scared of meaningful progress with North Korea. I have said before Trump parallels Lincoln in a lot of ways and a major win with North Korea could be like Sherman burning Atlanta kind of momentum swing.

I'd just wish we would legalize marijuana and come down harder on dealers for opiods. The includes pharam and doctors writing scripts egregiously.

I don't expect much from the Kim-Trump summit. But I wish Trump well. I think our main goal should be an inspections regime that can verify anything Kim agrees to in terms of limiting his nuclear and missile programs. In pursuit of that goal, I think we should use the carrots and sticks at our disposal, including easing of sanctions if we can get Kim to commit to genuine restraints on the North Korean nuclear and missile programs, include export of such technology.

History is going to be very kind to the trump presidency. The opposition is going to take a huge hit moving forward. Successful tariffs and a denuclearized NK will decimate the dems chances of gaining in the midterms.

I'm sure the racist calls will be strong at the time though.
