Someday I will say more about my German friend. Not related to the collusion scandal.

Tidbit: she actually still has a CIA minder who checks in on her ever few months. God knows why. I think it is a favor for her long-dead father. She did see some things and had some experiences as a child that she shouldn't have. Curious little girl who didn't always follow daddy's directions.
 
I actually had a tangentially similar experience once. I had a friend who worked (so far as I knew) overseas in IT for a branch of the military and later as a contractor for an agency that I assumed, based on her intimations, to be the NSA...her vague comments about what she knew and the import of it seemed kind of overblown to me til one day I got door-knocked by some polite but businesslike guys in suits, who politely but in businesslike fashion quizzed me about everything I knew about her. She had previously given me a heads-up that it might happen, and I'd kinda dismissed it, but it was still a bit of a shock.
 
It was interesting how sparse the available information on Gina Haspel is. No information on her HS except that it was in the UK.
 
don't know any spys but a friend of mine flew Marine 1 during President Obama's 2nd term

went up to DC for a Braves vs Nationals series and he, his brother and myself and some of their friends up there were supposed to go to the game

his brother (also a friend) said he wasn't gonna be able to make the game for whatever vague reason that left us like "what the ****? drove up from georgia for only this one game and you bail?"

around the 4th inning he texts us pictures of him in the cockpit and President Obama boarding the helicopter etc that were hitting the AP wire from a few hours ago when he flew him for the first time

we excused his absence

The same Lee Stranahan who went from working for Breitbart News to working for Sputnik, a Russian government-controlled news agency.
