Thethe, maybe you can help me out, can you point out where in the Sessions memo it specifies the death penalty for drug dealers should be limited to fentanyl or pills? How do you feel about Sessions testifying at his confirmation hearings that he does not support the death penalty for drug trafficking now that this memo has come out. This could very well apply to state legal marijuana providers. Would you agree that if the federal government tries to give the death penalty for a state legal marijuana provider that it is time to put that second amendment to use?
 
The moves announced this morning in response to the Russians poisoning the guy in the UK are strong.

I think though it would have been even stronger if Trump had raised the matter with Putin in their phone call last week.

I am not in favor of any legislation against marijuana use. Legalize it and eliminate the black market. Other drugs I have doffered opinions on.
 
I'd like to see the underwriters and enablers hit directly in the wallet. Diplomatic tit-for-tat is not meaningless, but it's not the venue that matters most.

Not even sure where to put this but we are learning more and more about Orlando and vegas. The underlying truth is too much for the public to handle. I believe there are tremendous threats here in the US that are being witheld from the public.

This was a bizarre connection. I'm not sure if we should call shocking or coincidental or something else, but certainly bizarre.

Yeah it's the standard I'll tell my voters one thing but do another. But in the reality we are in where Russia=bad then I can't imagine these words can be interpreted in any context as ok.

The below interview with NPR's Phil Ewing is full of good info on national security, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, the comparison of Trump and Obama in these areas, Tillerson, Mattis, Pompeo, the military, and more. I have a few more minutes of it to listen to on the drive home but what I have heard so far was fascinating. I have always enjoyed Ewing's ability to be frank and constructive simultaneously. I'm glad he has moved so far up the journalistic totem pole.
