Bad and Boujee

There is just not way on justifying taking Nola out in that spot. People are getting nervous up 5 with a runner in 2nd and 1 out. WTH?

I hope not. The name of the game is to win games. And teams will utilize whatever they can to accomplish. Purists who complain about the pace of the game and the amount of strikeouts need to get over themselves. Teams figure out what wins and that's what matters.

I'm not arguing that MLB needs to make rule-changes to "improve" pace-of-play—but they sure as well seem dead-set on identifying it as a problem and bandying about solutions. And, with that prior given, I'm simply arguing that I find limiting the number of non-injury pitching changes per nine innings to be a lot less absurd than some of the other suggestions circulated—such as doing the equivalent of spotting the ball on the 30-yard-line in OT (which I think, for baseball, in laughably inane).

I don’t think it’s a puritanical notion to install any new rules let alone one that disrupts a century’s worth of leaving managerial decisions alone.

Baseball games are long. It would behoove baseball to make games shorter, but that’s just one man’s opinion who finds it harder and harder to catch a game.

It's too bad Snit's bad managing probably cost us this game as the double, homer and homer could be more exciting tonight otherwise.
