Will say as game went on Newcomb shoulders started heaving like a video game pitcher.

When he loses the fastball he hits that same spot up and away. If they are going to swing at it, he’s going to be extremely good.

I’m skeptical he can keep walks down but this plus spring trading starts to hint at a progress?

Absolutely. It's the consistency/control that's the issue. He looked good today. I think everyone has to like his stuff. I just hopes he can continue to command it like he did today.
