This is what I pegged him as when he was signed.
Only he has already been declared the starter at 3b

I'm intrigued
did you see that curve
Eh....while I know you're essentially talking down to me in this post I'll still play along.
Couple that with what appears to be a well commanded fastball at 94-97 and the potential to be a starting pitcher is strong.

The clock has struck midnight for Flaherty.
Time to cut the pumpkin
Gonna be a fun year with this team. I wonder how they'll react if they find themselves in fist place.
I hope we resist the temptation to add a starting pitcher. If a high leverage arm like Brad hand becomes available then I'm down. Otherwise, trust the ptocess.
We were 16-11 in April while only playing 2 teams (Nats and reds) with losing record. Oh, and Nats are the east favorites. Only 5 of those 27 were with acuna. Our catchers have missed multiple games. If the pitching holds up, we could really hang around a while
I think there is something to be said here. We played good team despite their records. We played these teams without big pieces of our puzzle. We had some fluky losses to boot. It is very easy to see better months up coming. I would need to look at schedule. But there is going to be a month in there were we play the fish and other bottom dwellers. Hopefully we don’t play down to those teams and hopefully we can stay healthy. Flowers is going to do wonders for our staff.

Okay, new twitter argument that I want to discuss here. Given Suzuki and Flower's production over the last year+, if we had an opportunity to trade for JT Realmuto right now should we do it? Especially seeing that our window to compete looks like it might open a year early? I'm of the mind that it would probably be a poor allocation of resources to trade for Realmuto since Suzuki and Flowers have been so unexpectedly good. I think we should save our resources to potentially trade for bullpen pieces or 3rd base.
The specific trade that I mentioned in the discussion was Soroka, Pache, and Wilson for Realmuto. I said I would turn it down, he said he would accept it in a heartbeat. What say you Chopcountry.
