Someone mentioned to me yesterday that the last time a team fielded an MVP and ROY in the same season was the 1974 Rangers (Jeff Burroughs and Mike Hargrove).

It's obviously way too early and so many things would have to fall right for the team to win enough games to stay relevant enough for one of them to win it, but Freeman and Albies have to be looked at as legitimate MVP candidates after the first month.

Different players from the same team was the point, sorry - as in one of Freddie or Ozzie with the MVP and Acuna with the ROY would be the first time that had happened in over 40 years. Lynn also won both in 1975.
