Attendance

In avg, we are 11th. In % of capacity, we are 10th. I think % of capacity is the number that should be used when discussing our attendance.

Radio said expect 3 monster crowds this weekend going by sold tickets. I had planned on being there this weekend, but it fell through. Can't wait to get there sometime this summer

When this team is in playoff contention in the summer months the park is going to be packed. They are drawing from all over the place. Nobody wanted to commute to Atlanta.

The stadium is a great place to catch a ball game, unlike Turner Field. There are several things I don't like about it, but I can get over those.

I was really excited about SunTrust opening, but then I saw a game in Rome for the first time. I'm not sure I want to go back to seeing games at a big stadium, Rome is just a great environment and place to see a game. I do need to give a SunTrust try though.

This is excellent news. If they can avoid the usual 2nd year drop in attendance for a new park it bodes well for payroll next year.

Hope they over-ordered Acuna and Albies jerseys for this weekend. They are going to make a sick amount of money on those jerseys. I was very impressed with someone who already had an Acuna 13 shirt on yesterday at Shea. He hasn't even had a home game yet! Where'd that fan get it? Guess you can find anything in New York, but that impressed me.

You can order a customized jersey with whatever you want, whenever you want. I had a #8 JUp jersey 3 days after the trade was announced.

You can have a Harper Braves jersey right now if you want...it doesn't have to be bought at the park...

:happy0157: That's actually tempting, Cheff. I live near DC. Can you imagine me going to a Nats game wearing that?

If Braves sell 40k all three nights they would be up about 5.8% in attendance.

Not quite apples because there would be a few more weekend games this year than last, but doing a little quick adjustment I'd still estimate it as equivalent of being up about 3.5%.

Winning with exciting players does make a difference, I think.

Just staying flat with last year's attendance should be considered a huge win, and will likely mean a projected increase in attendance in 2019.

It looks like they are about flat (all things considered) so far.

We don't know what this new location will look like in the summer for a competitive team. Does that mean 35k per day? 40? We just don't know

DOB announces SRO tonight vs Giants, game 1. It appears the whole series will go SRO.

On the radio they said that folks were walking up to the ticket office at 8am this morning to try and get tickets for this weekend as well as the next home series. Definitely some excitement building
