I think we got him b/c he was owed 500K and AA liked him as a last guy on the bench.

When Swanson is up he better be gone. If they option tucker to keep Culby then I will assume Culby has some dirt on AA.

You just DFA him and he'll fly through waivers. We have better players in AAA now.

AA is right to like having a back-up at short that is a plus defender at short and probably other positions too. Plus before today he had been hitting a lot better.

At the time Camargo was the guy at 3B. Culberson was acquired to back up SS/3B.

They couldn't afford anything else, and they were forced to pick Flaherty off the scrap heap.

Culberson isn't blocking anyone, the Braves didn't lose anyone to the R5 draft, so his presence is inconsequential.
