Blake Swihart's agent asked the Red Sox for a trade.
guy isn't good but thinks he is and just isn't getting play time?

Really? Because the surplus value matched almost perfectly.
The process was to get the most future value available. That's what they did. They shopped around and took the best offer in terms of future value. They did not shackle dead money to Eaton. They did not waste value on getting MLB assets in return.
Whether or not you agree with the package is irrelevant. What happened to Eaton or the prospects after the trade is irrelevant.

are you under the impression every team values every player and prospect the same? A 45 fv prospect on one team might be viewed 55 fv prospect by another team. Personally though it was a great deal because I was super online with Giolito coming out of the draft. There were plenty of warning signs and Nats fans were not very optimistic about him at the time from what I saw.
I dont know about you but when I want clarification on what someone said I ask a question. You might notice the question mark at the end of the first sentence.
Heres another question. I'll add a few more question marks at the end so you can see them. What was your reaction at the time of the Renteria/Marte trade????? And no its not a trap question or meant to argue about stats I dont care for. Just generally curious.
I'll add a few more down here just in case ?????????
I mean, have you see their catchers? He must be GOD-AWFUL.
Red Sox prospect Jason Groome has Tommy John surgery. 2016 Draft turning into a real dud. At least in terms of the names we were tossing around at the time. Groome, Puk, Pint, Lewis....
Rangers now officially listening on vets.
Still not interested in overpaying for him, but willing to admit Beltre would look nice with a tomahawk across his chest for the remainder of 2018.
If the Rangers decide to bow it up this offseason as they should, Mazara is a decent target for LF.
I think so too, but he'd likely cost a fortune. He'll have 4 years of cheap control left.
Yeah...the Rangers really have no reason to trade him.
