Soroka to DL; Freid up from Gwinnett

shoulder inflammation

If you squint hard enough there is a bright side. Having some early season events that limit the innings of both Soroka and Gohara might end up being a plus if we have a post-season run. I have a feeling that one or both of Soroka/Gohara will end up being among our best 4 starters by the end of the season.

Also interesting that this comes after Soroka's command was not sharp at all over the last two starts.

I see this as a rest vacation but the command issues were glaring the last 2 starts.

That's why I'm not really buying the "rest" thing. If it was that, it would be a weird time to rest him after just three starts in the big leagues and only 37 innings on the season.

Well one thing is for sure. Our esteemed group of journalists at the AJC and MLB.com won’t be ever to drill down the actual cause for this DL stint.
