They both have BB/9's that are too high, the difference is, while I think the head games are a little overrated, Newcomb seems to have a better head on his shoulders than Foltynewicz, and there's something else that causes his control to be shaky, not sure what, but it seems mechanical, given that he often seems like he's missing at the same place.
Their starts vs Boston are going to be interesting. Given the way they've went and Boston's very likely a more patient team, while they could pitch well (in their patented 5-6 innings), they could very well BOTH end up having a 4 IP 3 H 3-4 ER 4-5 BB type start with 4-6 Ks.

Pretty impressive for newcomb in particularly considering he only has 28 career starts. Bb rate at 4.10... if it gets in the 3s, watch out

Taking the top 3 pitchers from each nl team is 45 pitchers. Newcomb being 11th is impressive

I think gohara may end being the best actually
Being able to stay healthy/pitch innings has it's value.

Looks like the light has just turned on for Folty over the last couple months.... he very well could be making the transition to legit ace. He looks filthy.
