GDT: 6/6 Braves at Padres

Likely gonna lose today. Padres pen will lock you up and sit you down. They may suck overall but their pen is that good, it's one of the best in the majors.

Albies most certainly has to change his approach. Not sure what the laughter is about. Teams will not stop pitching him above the zone until he proves he can lay off that pitch.

talking about 'its done. its over' is pretty comical to me

He's done, it's over.

.240-.250 bat at most with meh defense unless he changes his approach.

Luckily for every interested party he's only 21 years 5 months old, and younger than half the players who were drafted this week.

Just a guess, but I think that might bode well for his chances to make adjustments.

Remember when someone said Albies needed to stop swinging at high pitches and hitting fly balls?

Remember when Gov came in and dropped knowledge about how I was wrong?

Do you think he ever consistently hits that high pitch? If you don't then her post is 100% right.

yeah that's a pretty big loophole...riddle me this...how many major league hitters never change their approach

If it was one comment I wouldn't care. But it's like your posts in regards to Newk but the reverse.

It's been out for a good while (at least a month), sometimes he lays off (he does if it's out of the zone), sometimes he doesn't, and unless he goes back on top of the ball he won't hit anything above the belt.

Which means...hello .240-.250 bat.

SD is doing a BP game and not really worrying about getting the platoon advantage. Seems...sub optimal, but working so far.

The funny thing is, Albies is actually migrating back to an all fields hitter in a small sample size in June. Only 33.3% to the pull side in June. 42.9% hard contact rate.

It's failing horrendously. He's being badly punished for earlier in the year. Likely will go back to being dead pull because of it.
