Russia Collusion Scandal (aka A Leftist fantasy)

Summary:

Cohen worked a quid pro quo with Vekselberg.

Manafartov worked a quid pro quo with Deripaska.

Cohen and Sater were working a quid pro quo over Trump Tower in Moscow well into 2016. Effort abandoned only when in the heat of the campaign Trump felt a need to deny any business dealings with Russia.

Adoption meeting in Trump Tower was predicated on a quid pro quo. Dirt for sanctions relief.

Flynn outreach to Kislyak was about sanctions relief.

Trump policy has featured slow-walking implementation of sanctions law and today Trump wants to forgive and forget Russian actions regarding Crimea/Ukraine and welcome them back into the G-8.

Have I left out anything?

Liberals: Don't pay attention to the real threat. RUSSIA BOOGEYMAN!

Wouldnt be surprised if the East (Russia, China, NK) are working together to be honest. All 3 countries have much to benefit from a weakened NATO alliance, and US position.

All the more reason to bring Russia into the fold to stop China from screwing everyone.

Can't wait to see how this evolves

Immediate push to overturn Crimea sanctions.

I am curious if the left on this board is actively rooting and hoping for collusion.

I'm not sure if I am on the left. I do think something very dangerous to our republican form of government happened in the last election and that there is a compelling public interest in having it thoroughly investigated.

One more observation. Politics is a contact sport and yes Trump is getting Benghazied on a grand scale. But then it is a target-rich environment that his political enemies find themselves operating in.

I guess my question is are you hoping for an outcome of collusion, or for an outcome of innocence

This is not some baseball game. My hope is that the truth to the extent any of us mortals are capable of learning such a thing is fully brought to light.

How's that for a nice self-righteous answer!

It does strike me as rather significant that one side to this controversy has exhibited a strong interest in impeding the quest for finding out what happened.

It would see that we should all hope that no wrong doing occurred

But I think people want it to have happened.

I still think this is a nuthin burger

One small additional detail that may or may not be important...Kilimnik was a business partner of Cambridge Analytica contractor Sam Patten

One of those profiles recently wrote or intimated that Kilinnik's being allowed to leave Ukraine (for Russia) was part of the trade for selling Ukraine the anti-tank missiles.

would be consistent with the general effort to impede and undermine the investigation
