Low blow hahahah!!!
connect the dots....bill shanks...georgia girl
just sayin...
Go look at Albies batted ball stats split by month.
He is actually hitting fewer FBs than April, while hitting more LDs, and yet his BABIP has plummeted from nearly .300 to .100...a completely unsustainable value.
The lucky HR pop has completely evaporated, exactly as predicted. His numbers in May were much more in line with his expected output than his numbers in April or so far in June.
This is a stretch of bad luck. Albies isn’t perfect and certainly needs to be more selective, but he will be fine.
And yes, guys probably need to be given a few more days off than they have been getting.
Can folks stop freaking out about good players going through slumps now?
While we're at it, can folks also stop freaking out about mediocre players going through hot streaks?
When someone tells you "X, Y and Z are unsustainable", maybe it's time to start realizing they are right?
Albies has now spent 5 full months at the MLB level. Here are some month by month power stats...
Aug 2017: 42.2% FBs, 5.7% HR/FB, 2 HRs
Sept 2017: 38.8% FBs, 10.5% HR/FB, 4 HRs
April 2018: 47.3% FBs, 20.5% HR/FB, 9 HRs
May 2018: 36.9% FBs, 13.2% HR/FB, 5 HRs
June 2018: 36.6% FBs, 10.0% HR/FB, 3 HRs
What have we learned about Ablies' power, especially his HR power? Which month appears to be the fluke outlier?
Why is Gov suddenly not around to explain Albies' power projections to us after magically reappearing just to talk **** about the power projections I had for Albies?
His career numbers (he has 608 PA in 135 games) are probably the best representation of who he is and the type of player he is likely to be going forward.
40.3 FB rate
12.4 HR/FB
.349 wOBA
23 HR
4.4 WAR
All in a little less than a full season. Project some modest improvement and he might turn out to be a decent player.
Take out the fluke month and he looks like a 20+ HR guy instead of a 30+HR guy.

Math is hard, but the average of other months is 3.5 HR per month.
We have almost certainly seen Albies career month in terms of HRs
15-20 is what most intelli Braves figured if he maintained the 40%+ FB approach. His BA and OBP will suffer as a result.
Is Math that hard?
Isn't 3.5 x 6 = 21.0
Is 21 > 20?
Please quote the statement where I suggested otherwise.
Maybe you can get a job at Walmart and take advantage of their free college program? Surely those classes would improve your reading comprehension. Or do you already work for Walmart, and you're just waiting for classes to start?

That was my score on the verbal. Also aced the essay. Math ... not so much.
