Ozzie Albies thread

Go look at Albies batted ball stats split by month.

He is actually hitting fewer FBs than April, while hitting more LDs, and yet his BABIP has plummeted from nearly .300 to .100...a completely unsustainable value.

The lucky HR pop has completely evaporated, exactly as predicted. His numbers in May were much more in line with his expected output than his numbers in April or so far in June.

This is a stretch of bad luck. Albies isn’t perfect and certainly needs to be more selective, but he will be fine.

And yes, guys probably need to be given a few more days off than they have been getting.

I think you compared him to Trevor Story busting onto the scene. Pretty accurate.

Also, the Bar Exam isn't that hard if you study.

That's true. It's a two day affair with a 6-hour multiple choice in which every answer is correct to some extent and you have to pick the ones they think are most correct. Then, the second day, six hour long essays from among 18 state law topics including everyone's nightmare, trusts and estates. Then there's getting barred with the Supreme Court, The DC Bar, reciprocity between states.

There's a lot of nuance and a broad array of hard and soft skills involved if you're going to be successful as an attorney, particularly one who needs to develop one's own clients. You can't be really good at one aspect of the profession, have a ****ty attitude and spend 30 hours a week jerking off on the internet.

I'm well aware of the rigors of the bar exam having passed it myself.

I was not "clearly wrong" because Coppy gate ousted that front office. It was pretty clear to me that John Hart thought Albies was a bust.

I'm talking about what I said at other places. I said Dansby was going to have a bust of a season about 3 weeks in, got killed for that, wala, I was right.

You didn't even join til July 2017. So that clearly isn't true. You also said Dansby needed to be moved to 2b becuase some "former scout" told you so....

Have I not made it clear enough to you yet that I'm not talking about what I've said on here?

I'm saying what I've said at OTHER PLACES online on the internet earlier on. And like I said, I got destroyed for it but it turns out, I was right that season (and I'm actually "good" with all of them now, including some of the people that destroyed me).

That’s a long way of saying “I couldn’t pass it so now I’m a paper pusher for real lawyers”

Now please, give us more insights on Albies power projections.

I would like to congratulate you on becoming a cause celebre here and elsewhere...it is clear you've worked hard for that status

The idea of sending Ozzie down doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It seems to me like facing a lower caliber of pitching would only reinforce any bad habits he might have picked up. He's at the stage where he needs to learn to make adjustments on the fly.

Being a girl has nothing to do with the discussion at hand.

GeorgiaGirl is a damn good poster, and I really think blatant sexism is a very bad look. Shame on you.

i disagree that she's a good poster, but it has nothing to do with being a woman.

Unlike the quick call up with Dansby....Oz had plenty of time in the minors. He is a pro player and needs to adjust. He will. Super young. He isn’t the first young guy to struggle. He’s smart....he’ll figure it out in time. Acuna being on the DL could have been a blessing in disguise....they may have both been going though the funk at the same time. This has given him time to watch and learn.

you were right about what?
if you said that you "heard" dansby would have to move to 2B, then the "former scout" you spoke to isn't much of a scout. because, you know, dansby is pretty fantastic at SS.

it's an absurd suggestion and is not going to happen.
if ozzie ends up with an OPS between .775 and .800 we should be ecstatic with that from a 21-year old.
if he ends up closer to .700...that's still fine considering his age.
