Talk about being stupid. Some of it is that. The other part is that he can't get the ball across the plate. Part of that is due to regression because he had around a walk rate of around 3 per 9 in June. He doesn't have that kind of control. Yes, his HR rate will regress. However, yelling regression on a 364' foot flyball makes you look dumb.

Ridiculous by the unpire on ball 2. That was clearly a strike. Otherwise a miserable outing by Newcomb. He’s gonna have the same growing pains virtually every other pitcher has. Guy still has a very bright future

Actually, bad HR luck is exactly what regression is when he had benefitted from good HR luck. His HR/FB rate is regressing, exactly as I said it would. Not knowing that makes you look dumb, because you are, in fact, dumb.
