You giving up a Kyle Wright or Allard plus more for Hand? Thats about the cost.
 
I actually don't think it's raining there (Yet, as it's going to soon), they went ahead and delayed due to approaching weather.

I don't see this game continuing. This batch that's coming is similar to what triggered a two hour delay. Hate it, because of Freeman failing to cut down the third run in the 1st inning and the dumbfreakery we saw in 1/3rd of an inning.
 
I want Archer, honestly. Whatever happens this year is great, but if we’re going to make a big trade, he’s the guy I go after. Bundy was an interesting one I’ve heard though.
 
That AA hasn’t even gotten the equivalent of Luis Avila, as lackluster an addition that would be, to give Snitker an actual left handed option is amazingly bad.

Mention the reverse splits all you want...there isn’t another option. Freeman, Carle, Jackson, Moylan, are extremely mediocre talents.

That’s on the front office. Give something of a pass in that they weren’t trying to contend this year but watching a division lead fritter away without doing anything. It is poor.

I have a feeling also the move that gets made is going to be extremely frustrating.

You can have a insane starting rotation but if you don’t improve your bullpen you don’t go no where. Sooner or later we need to trade some of this pitchers and improve the bullpen and other areas.

What lefty reliever has went for peanuts? Besides the Mets trade, what reliever has went for peanuts? No way the Mets trade within the division as they did with the A's. Of course they may just like those prospects too. Hand would've been nice but he didn't go for peanuts.

I’m not sure how I feel about it, but I think we go wild in the off-season. I bet we add several arms, maybe one in a deal (Kimbrel wouldn’t surprise me) and another in a trade, and we try to land a big bat. AA knows we’re a few parts away from being top 2-3 in the NL, maybe the top.

There's times to be smart, and not make the wrong move at the wrong time, and the right move at the right time.

Given the Braves will have money to spend, and a year for AA to access the system, it makes sense to go ham this winter and not now.

I'm all for using prospects to upgrade the team but im not doing it for a BP arm in a season the Braves arent likely to make a deep postseason run if they get in.

Being realistic about it.

we're not talking top prospects...someone like Loup would only cost organizational filler
