Another Early Start - GDT 10/6/2013: ATL (Julio TEHERANOSAURUS!) @ LA (Ryu) Game 3

Could you imagine if Huddy was still pitching and not injured?

Hudson pitches game 1 and drops an egg = Why not start Medlen? Dude was untouchable the last month of the season. If we're going to go up against Kershaw, why not put your hottest and best pitcher out there?

Medlen pitches game 3 and bombs it with Teheran on bench = Why not start Teheran instead of Medlen? Kid has been dynamite on the road all year, can throw hard (which we all know is what you need in the playoffs to be successful are hard throwers). Genius Fredi.

Not one person has faulted Fredi for pitching Teheran tonight. Just for pitching him too long.

Dude - you're being really immature about this. Does ANYONE on this board think Freddy Garcia should start?

No. He's not screwed either way. If he makes the right decision, we have a legit shot to win game 4.

Yeah, exactly. The argument that Keith is making just absolves Fredi of all accountability. It's like "well no matter what he's going to make the wrong decision." But that makes no sense. Some decisions are better than others.

I don't think he should start, but there's going to be a handful of people here who are going to blame Fredi of anything he does regardless.

As I pointed out earlier, almost all the managers this postseason have made questionable moves, he's not the only one.

Several are on the record saying he is the best option. It is insane.

Well then I don't know what to say. I guess Keith is right. Fredi never makes decisions and is putting us in best position to win - because if he chooses differently, then that would be the wrong decision and people would blame him for it... or something like that

To say I'm absolving Fredi of any blame is not true.

I just don't blame Fredi for our bad defense, and terrible starting pitching outside of Minor. This team has lived and died by the homerun, and it certainly has shown it so far when we haven't been able to jack one yet.
