2018 Trade Deadline ROSTERBATION

Based on what we've seen from the Facebook game on, it's a genuine question if this is a true talent 75-76 win team that overachieved until then. And with that reality...is this team really going to make the playoffs in 2019 either? There is a massive amount of questions for 2019.

The pitching side of this rebuild is failing.

The best Rumor I've read that won't happen is the Tigers are considering sending Nick Castellanos to Atlanta for Max Fried and Austin Riley. Castellanos is only 26, had 101 RBI last year and is under control through 2020, so naturally it won't be considered by our do-nothing-in-case-it's-wrong front office.

What a terrible trade idea. Riley could easily end up a better player and Fried has shown glimpses of being a good starter. Castellanos is an awful defender and that's putting it lightly.

THe defense is indeed the problem. I did not create this idea, but am passing it along as one I had not heard before. It does seem like Fried was being showcased in his "rehab" starts. He did not give up a run yet has not been activated (unless something happened tonight). He was DL'd because of a blister, correct?

The gig is up, Philadelphia has taken control of the division and we could be 5 1/2 games back in the division by the end of play Sunday while AA sits on his hands and does nothing as our team falls apart.

i am informed in another thread he is starting on Saturday

All I know is that seven of the Braves' last 10 games are against Philly. If they can find a way to hang tough, they could find the outcome in their own hands at year's end.

^Like the former Dodger national analyst said a few weeks ago when we were playing the Brewers neither the Braves or Phillies are likely to sweep the rest of the season series. At least football season is right around the corner!

And thank God. Fried and Riley for Castellanos would be an absolutely god-awful trade.

Has anyone done a back of the napkin calculation on what Wheeler would likely cost based on the surplus value model? He seems like a reasonable target if we are determined to upgrade the rotation with a non rental.

Chainz May have taken the mantle as worst poster

Settle down, kindly refer to our 1 month new guy grace period policy.

You need to give new posters 1 month to get a feel for this place and make them feel welcome before you start trying to cut their legs under them.

Beltre isn't terrible, just old. For the Love of God just do something, AA!

Am I the only one starting to get the creeping feeling that AA was a poor choice as GM? We have several interesting comparisons to hold up against his "track record."

Way too early to tell.

But the fact he didn't waste Acuna's service clock is a good sign for me. And he got rid of Kemp. I still wish we could someone even more analytic minded, but I've already seen him as an upgrade over Hart-Coppy regime.
