7/28: Dodgers game 3

So who pitches the 8th? Not exactly a high leverage situation but I would bring in Winkler since he hasn't pitched since Tuesday.

not sure why they wouldn’t call up Touki for pen at this point.

Seems like the most logical extension of not being willing to give up anything for any help.

As I already noted, those he used last night (Venters, Carle and Biddle). And no I am not saying I'd used Venters back-to-back.

Well it was early in the 6th for Biddle or even Carle. I think the best plan was Moylan in the 6th, Carle in the 7th and Winkler in the 8th given all the righties in the Dodger's lineup.

The funny thing is, I kinda do want him up in a similar role to what we see here with Caleb Ferguson eventually (he usually actually pitches multiple innings) for the rest of the season. Let him get his feet wet in 2-3 inning stints if it's not actually leverage.

Lots of teams do this. It would actually help him keep his innings down.

Snit doesn’t send peope down. I’d tell you who does but it would upset you.

I'm with you on not liking how AA has handled this team so far. We were 3 games up a few weeks ago, and AA has just steadily watch us flop with no help. Flaherty still being on this team ought to be close to a fireable offense

If you don't think Snit has a say in sending young relievers down then I cannot help you. I trust others around here know better.

He has the final say but I'm fairly sure managers are allowed to give an opinion. Or else why Sam Freeman hasn't been given a 10 day DL stint is beyond me.
