Joe Simpson’s Saturday Night Rant

It's actually surprising the Dodgers are allowed to do that. We'll, not the Dodgers. They're a sacred cow. If the Braves tried that we'd be hit with massive fines and have draft picks takeb away. Professional sports are serious about uniforms.

What makes it even worse is some are wearing CANCER AWARENESS shirts. Send Joe to the old folks home.

I noticed the cancer awareness on the shirts too. Joe looks real bad here. He better be issuing an apology Sunday
 
Joe is desperately grasping at the time when his "intellect" was relevant. Like most dumb people, he is offended by the idea that he isn't very bright, and lashes out whenever he can.

I don't expect him to be announcing Braves games too much longer.
 
I have to agree that his time in the Braves booth may be almost at an end. I forgot about how he criticized the organist at SunTrust Park last year.

I haven’t been as hard on Joe as many Braves fans have, but after tonight, I’m ready for him to step aside. His rant made the Braves look bad tonight. Just about ready for Jeff Francoeur to take Simpson’s place.
 
I didn't see the Cancer shirts, they are excused obviously but he has a point about the Dodgers' uniform being The Holy Grail and they have warmups made with their number on it for a reason. Joe is not some average Joe on the subject, he was raised a Dodger and has the right to his opinion that LA looked like a Pony League team taking batting practice!

I doubt anything happens, people forget Chip Caray got fired by Turner and rehired by PeachtreeTV or maybe it wasn't until we went to a regional network Chip was back.
 
Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill. And old school announcer fir a team the Dodgers play two series a year didn't like their BP attire. So what? Why does that matter?

All the Dodgers need to care about is whether MLB allows it.

My thoughts exactly except the cancer shirts but Joe probably couldn't see it, I couldn't see what Utley's shirt said on live tv.
 
so over the old people in and around baseball these days

reminds me of how much i hate "the braves way" of the good old boy gang that still haunts the franchise on how to do things
 
Joe this is a freaking batting practice session in T-Shirts. Be honest, if you were a fan and you had walked in for BP today, would you have noticed that? If you noticed, would you have given a crap? Its almost beyond belief that people care about this **** and we have a grown man complaining about BP fashion. It is possibly the most pedantic thing that I've ever heard.

I bet Joe almost had an aneurysm in '77 when his teammates invented the high five. Maybe that is what led to his career OPS of .607... Glenn Burke and Dusty Baker gave the man brain damage with their fancy newfangled hand slaps.

Someone says something I don’t agree with, so he must be “dumb.” Very tolerant of you to insult a man’s intellect, especially one that you’ve likely never met.
