2018 Trade Deadline ROSTERBATION

Dude has a 1.77 WHIP...he might be a small upgrade so hopefully they didn't give up much for him, and hopefully they didn't give up any prospects

WHIP is not a very good stat to judge anyone on.
Especially someone with fewer than 40 innings pitched.

If we are calling Kolby Allard up is this a sign that we maybe trading Mike Soroka for Chris Archer?

That's a pretty big leap to get from Kolby Allard call-up to Soroka trades for Archer. If this has anything to do with a trade, it would likely mean Fried is getting traded as he is the only current starter on the team that we would actually trade right now.

I been thinking Allard been hold at the minors because of future contract years and now with this call up i believe some kind of trade need to be on the works.

How many innings Allard need to pitch to maintain his rookie status for next year?

Fried is exactly the kind of guy the Rays would be interested in if some sort of Gray/Archer 3 way going down with the Yankees.

Would we be excited about giving up Fried for Gray? I’m not sure that I would be, but it’s plausible.

Gray...
Home: 46.1 ip 6.80 era .894 ops .319 babip
Road: 54.2 ip 3.62 era .674 ops .315 babip

I'd take a chance if cost isn't crazy

I'm looking at his 2016-2018 numbers...seasons prior to that should be almost entirely discounted

He spent at least half that time either affected by injury or playing in NY. I don't think you're fully appreciating just how big of a hitter's park Yankee stadium really is. It's been top 4 in homers every year and top 2 every year but 1.

If only there were a stat that corrected for park factors.

ok...you might be on to something

Just saw this:

Told the #Braves would be willing to deal Luiz Gohara in in a #Archer deal. They are also rumored to have interest in Wilson Ramos.
