Well that was a swift kick in the gonads and then the run scoring was like a spit in the face. The 27th out is the hardest to get for a reason but like I said after Folty's near miss last year in Oakland, Julio's coming so close in NY and one more I think it was a home day game against the Reds if we keep sniffing around we are going to get one of these things eventually. Excellent performance by Newcomb and it's great to end the losing streak!

Braves need a winning streak and need Boston and the Marlins to help out beating Philly the same way Cincy did. If not for the Reds winning three of four we'd be further back. But as it stands, we picked up a game today on both Philly and Washington. So we could be back in first in a few days in Boston sweeps Philly and we beat up on the Marlins. We are good enough to do that, but with Snit managing I am not confident.
 
I'm really glad that we're going to dig up everything teenagers once said nearly a decade before and get outraged by it. We will be better off for it

It’s not a good thing of course, but this new social media reality that kids grow up in is crazy.

It’s crazy someone will dig back thru TEN years of tweets, to find two or three dumb statements.

Kids say stupid things and do stupid things.

Now if he tweeted that in his twenties...yeah.

Some of these people need to get a life digging up something a dumb 17-18 year old tweeted. Many times the context to what the tweet was even about is lost and makes them sound even worse. It could be a bad joke, it could be one of twenty different things.

I'm just glad twitter wasn't around in my teens and now I'm old enough to know better than to post stuff like that. But yeah it's sad.
