Hope this isn't a giant flashback of a game played at noon last Tuesday in Miami. That was one horrifically ugly performance. I'd think another outing like that by Julio may cause the Braves to take a serious look at his future employability.

Culberson hits Chen well and not starting while Swanson has never hit him. Plus Suzuki is hitting .300 against him and Flowers .182 or something. Hopefully it won't matter since Chen has been so bad on the road. But I'd started at least one of Culberson/Suzuki vs Chen rather than those who do not hit him.

I think with a struggling pitcher (Julio), the better framer and SS are more important

You realize you're talking about sample sizes of about 10 PAs, right?

Do you think the results of 10 PAs is at all predictive?

Flowers caught the Marlins blowout win against Teheran, framing made no difference. Plus Suzuki is clearly the better game caller this year. Further, Julio has been doing his give up a touchdown and come back with a shutout a lot this season. Now he had some good streaks mixed in to be fair, otherwise his numbers would be much worse. Lastly, despite that two error game Culberson is very good at short when he gets to play there regularly. But not using him there all year till recently can effect things (might take longer to get back into a grove after playing LF/3B so much).

If someone is hitless vs someone while also struggling with the bat vs someone who is hot and hits well vs a starter, that is worth considering.
