There are 4 other Braves with more chances than Swanson(2 are the catchers), Ozzie has more chances(+103) and assists(+24), Swanson is ranked 8th of 11 in NL SS, with 10 having more chances, and 10 having more assists and only 2 have more errors.

i don't think teams use errors to judge defense anymore.

Right now they 4.5 out of WC, but 4 teams ahead of them. The more teams they have to catch, the harder it is on them. We can pass philly just be winning the rainout games. We also play them 7 more times. Plenty of time and opportunity to catch philly. The nats need to start making up ground. If they can't make up ground on either team in the east, I think frustration could set in or that clubhouse just blows up. My whole premise though is that we're better than philly and will pass them... just a matter of time

They should. A quick look at the error count tells me that markakis and kemp have the same number of errors the last 2 seasons combined as jhey has this year... both are clearly twice as good as jhey defensively

Yep. Hopefully Matz goes Sunday and that new lefty for Walgreens goes in that series. I'm thinking we will miss Gio but they have a day off so they could skip another pitcher.

Right now it's looking like they're throwing Milone, Scherzer, Gio and TBD on the last spot, we're throwing Fried, Folty, Newk, and Sanchez.
