Its like Joe and Chip are THIIIIISSS close to putting all the logic together and realizing that the pitcher win is the most meaningless stat possible, but they just can't quite get there. Its like those greyhounds that race with the little rabbit thing that goes around the track. They can just never quite catch up to it.

One day Joe Simpson is going to be on his death bed and he is going to realize that pitcher wins don't matter, the organist should play whenever, and that nobody cares about BP fashion. At that point he will have reached nirvana, but will instead become bodhisattva to save the world from saber-ignorance.
 
At this point, we all know Flaherty is still on the team because of Markakis.... but if the Braves make the playoffs, he better and shouldn't be on the playoff roster.
 
Anyone remember a year or two ago when the Braves released that career minor leaguer who was something like 18-0 on the season, and Chip and Joe couldn’t believe it. They even went as far as to ask why he wasn’t on the big league roster.
