I'd like to see AA call the Yankees to see if they would be interested in a swap of reclamation projects...

Sonny Gray has been bad for them and Julio Teheran has been bad for us....

But I like the upside of Gray better than Teheran....Gray has around 20 less walks only 8 fewer strikes outs in about 14 less innings....He plays against the Red Sox who are having a historic season and pitches in a band box. I'd expect a move to Atlanta to benefit him...

Gray makes $6.5m this season, Last year of Arbitration in 19, before becoming a FA in 2020
Teheran Makes $8.1m in 18, $11.1m in 2019, and has an option for $12m in 2020 ($1m buyout)

We could do Teheran and cash for Gray, or maybe Teheran and a minor prospect with them eating the cash in NY.
 
I'm sure the Braves would love to trade a bad pitcher for a better and cheaper pitcher. Sign me up!!

There is zero reason for the Yankees to be interested in such a trade.
 
It's more likely that a bat will fly out of my ass before the Yankees do this.... but at least you are thinking the right things....
 
We don't really need Gray either with the rotation already scheduled to be overcrowded. But no way the Skankees do that.
 
I agree that deal won’t happen. But it could be a bigger deal around those two.

The Yankees don’t seem to think gray can cut it in ny. So maybe you can get him.

You don’t get him for Julio. Maybe you don’t want him. But he’s probably a buy low guy
