2018: The Year Of The Venezuelan Trout

i really want to win.

cy, the only award you get is the bitch award. sorry. enchesfff is a total dick but he is leader of the dicks. you're just a tiny dick running around at his heels. it's embarrassing watching. he'll never fully accept you as his equal. get that through you head.

i am the worst poster.
you're the most pathetic.

The only thing pathetic is watching you **** post in every thread in an attempt to repair your shattered ego. You talk about how you don’t spend any time on this board in comparison to others yet you let some poster proving you wrong hurt your widdle old feelings. We may spend more time here than you, but we sure as hell take it a lot less seriously. If you can’t handle the criticism or jabs then maybe you shouldn’t be here at all.

But, by all means, keep trolling in every thread if you’re up to it. It may be a pathetic life, but it’s your life.

Stealing from B-Ref's social media.

Ronald Acuña currently has 16 Rbat (the hitting component of WAR) and 4 Rfield (the fielding component).

He's well on pace to be the 8th player in MLB to have 20+ and 5+ in a season before reaching legal drinking age

Six current or future Hall of Famers and an Irish barmaid. Not bad.

Top ten Comps to J-Hey through age 27: Moseby, Melvin, Jr., Frenchy, Claudell, Willie Davis, Carlos May, The Melkman, Johnny Callison, Delmon Young, and Chili Davis.

There's not enough DWar in the world (especially for a RF) to transform any of the above into a HoFer.

Heyward will not be in Cooperstown.

That elbow / arm protector they are making Acuña wear while batting looks cool as hell like it's part of Iron Man's armor but I do wonder if it effects him at the plate at all.

Acuna has caught Soto in fWAR and leads him in bWAR

yep.
his k rate is dropping, slowly but surely. was 29% a little over a week ago, down almost 2 points to 27.3%.
First half of the season he was at 30.4% Ks, at a much more manageable 22.6% in the 2nd half.
his progression this year is bonkers for a 20 year old.

A few more decent-to-solid week and Acuna will have likely had ROY wrapped up.

Before someone gets their panties in a wad, it's not a slap at Soto, but Acuna's offense AND defense is proving to be incredibly valuable to a team actually in the playoff hunt. lol

Entering play today, Acuña is slashing .290/.354/.566 with 18 doubles, 19 home runs, 43 RBI and 10 stolen bases on the season. The dynamic outfielder is on pace to become just the sixth player since at least 1871 to bat .290-or-better with 19 homers and 10 stolen bases in a season while younger than 21 years old, joining Hall of Famers Ken Griffey Jr. (1990) and Orlando Cepeda (1958), as well as Mike Trout (2012), Alex Rodriguez (1996) and Vada Pinson (1959).
