Of course Preet Bharara was the federal attorney in Manhattan District that was fired by Trump after being assured by Trump he wouldn't, be fired
He was investigating Deutsche Bank.
This would have been Jan 2017, seems like a lifetime ago, hmh ?

Also in the SDNY under Bharara was the Prevezon Holdings case, an offshoot of the Magnitsky matter, repped by Mme. Veselnitskaya...a $230M fraud case which was settled for, like, $6M. That one has always looked like a “quo” to me.
 
I hope plans are being made for massive protests in DC when Trump goes down if Pence tries to pardon Trump. Going to see if my work will pre approve a leave of absence today. If Democrats get control of Congress thry need to make it crystal clear Pence will be impeached if he pardons Trump.

The thing that stood out in the article is that two officials in the Trump Organization approved the payments based on sham invoices. I would imagine those two officials may be in some legal jeopardy and may have incentives to enter into some sort of cooperative agreement with the prosecutors.

My reading was that the payments were after the fact, so perhaps Cohen did originally use his own money. Kudos to Trump for paying him back.

Seems to me that the Trump Organization and its officers are in a fair amount of legal jeopardy.

I would add that anyone who has any sort of familiarity with Trump knows that he has committed serious crimes and has been committing them for a long time. It takes a willful aversion of the gaze to avoid seeing this.

And as has been pointed out many times since the campaign, that may work in business when one has enough money and name recognition to bully through.

An interesting read, or audio book. She reads it herself and sounds like she wrote every word. Her editor did a good job .

There are plenty of eye rollers because she's always obviously in self-promotion mode, but it's still a behinds the scenes account of the Trump campaign and first year of office. I wouldn't be surprised if this book, after all is said and done, isn't one of the best and most candid account of those times. She's a pretty good writer and comes across smart and articulate on TV. It looks like she got out just in time. She should thank Gen. Kelly for firing her. Still can't get over the fact that she recorded him firing her in the situation room.

Trump must be ready to spontaneously combust.
 
I usually don't care to watch any Sean Hannity stuff. But I had to at least check in to see if he was going to have a stroke or not.

His meltdown was superb. And the clips of Trump melting down in front of reporters starting at 6:01 is just as hilarious.

whatever happens we need a full investigation of everything and everyone in the Trump administration. I fear the Democrats are going to be weak and say we need to move on. I dont know what Avenatti's policied are but if fhey are anywhere close to acceptable I might go with him. For once in my damn lifetime I want these bastards held accountable. I know the law well enough to know everyone is a criminal if you look hard enough.
 
Looks like fox news is going back to the "missing white girl is national news" stuff. Thats literally why I stopped eatching the news years ago. I feel for the family but its not national news. There is far to much news that affects millions of people they dont cover already.
