Disapointing that we didnt get him but at least the Phillies didnt either.

I think the Indians cant offer him a QO. So hes a super attractive target for the offseason. Wont cost us picks. I do hope AA does something more.

If he shows he has anything left the remainder of this year then I think he is attractive on a short term deal. It would need to be something like the Moustakas deal this past offseason where he bets on himself to earn a better deal in a year.

I don't know how realistic that is, but the Braves certainly can't afford to bet on him being healthy for multiple years after what he's dealt with this season.

I wouldn't sign him for much... he hasn't been able to show he's healthy in 2 years and hasn't played well when he has been in there. However if he somehow still is the old JD, then sure go get him. But I'm skeptical. He's not exactly a spring chicken.
