I hope Newk comes out and looks much better tonight! Against the Red Sox, that may be hoping a lot, but it's all we have sometimes!
 
This would be a real good game for Newk to flash that... and Arrieta to pitch like garbage against the fighting fish...

Newcomb will struggle tonight..:probably 4 innings...

Our 3-4 hitters will continue to be useless because this moment and run as captains and leaders is too big for them.

We continue to struggle offensively.
 
The Red Sox really are staggeringly good...

They have 2 players with a wRC+ of 177 and 180 (Betts and JDM), and 2 more at 129 and 127 (Benintendi and Bogaerts).

Betts is already sitting at 8.6 WAR, and they have 3 other guys at 4+.

As far as SPs go, they have Sale as a CYA candidate with 6.1 WAR already, and 3 more guys at 2+ WAR.
 
Regardless of the out come of tonight and Wed day game, the Braves will head to the West coast with a minimum of 2 game lead over the Phiiiies. That's about the only solace we have going with Newk and Folty going in the next 2 games.
 
Man I'd love to just take one in this series. Then maybe take two in the D'Backs series, although that series could go either way. They haven't been playing all that well lately.
 
i thought the game we'd most likely lose would be tonight. But with our offensive struggles i have my concerns with all three. Hopefully Newk and the offense prove me wrong tonight.
 
You guys need to relax. Newk has this.
