GDT: Braves @ DBacks 9/7

I think we'll hear after the season that Freeman was dealing with a sore wrist or something since the break.
 
Doug Eddings behind the plate is one of the worst Umps in MLB. He's bad for different reasons than Bucknor, Diaz, etc. Eddings has a very short fuse.
 
Home town scoring at it's best. Last night Peralta charged an error on Freeman's hit. Tonight on very similar play, no error charged to Jr.

TBH, the measuring stick for both guys is Joey Votto. Not so much this year, but his career 156 WRC+ is probsbly a show-stopper.

Yeah Votto is a future HOFer. His 55.5 fWAR since he became a full time player in 2008 is 2nd in baseball to Trout. He real good.

Yeah... Freddie is a better hitter than Goldy. Maybe not by much, but I’d take him over Paul. Both are terrific 1B either way.
