Things They Say

"What happens at Georgetown Prep stays at Georgetown Prep. That's been a good thing for all of us, I think."

Brett Kavanaugh

Yet another quote taken wildly out of context.

You have have lost so much credibility. I saw Elizabeth Warren pushing this one too

It's a quote for your enjoyment. Context is not that important for our purposes. But I think the quote is quite interesting, considering his current predicament, regardless of what he was specifically referring to.

Are you having a bad week?

Was chatting with a self proclaimed socialist today... Who told me libertarians like me are assholes because being pro-life means I hate women.

I told her a lot of libertarians are pro choice. She says that's because they hate poor people and support genocide of them.

Rational as always... But I did find it interesting that she equated pro-choice with genocide (she was probably choice, obviously for the good reasons)

I hate abortion just about as much as Jeff Sessions hates weed, I just realize its prohibition isnt going to stop people. Just criminilizing otherwise law abiding citizens. Its too easy to fake that a lot of innocent people will go to prison because any accident can be considered a potential crime. Really love the idea of a mom having an accident, losing her baby she wanted, and then going to prison for it? Likely made a felon. Even if your not guilty your still punished by the trial and arrest. Then can we really trust the police not to arbitrarily apply this law? I wonder what ethnic group would be hit the hardest? Thats not the America I want to live in.

I was more pointing out that this person said I was terrible whether I was pro choice or pro life.

You know... Rational

Cruz also took some hits from conservative columnist Bret Stephens, who in a New York Times Op-Ed piece referred to him as a “serpent covered in Vaseline.”

Meanwhile, when Mike Pence tried to kiss his wife Karen, she wouldn’t look at him.

“You got what you wanted, Mike,” she reportedly said. “Now leave me alone.”

Grassley suggests his panel has trouble attracting women because "It's a lot of work—maybe they don't want to do it."

You see, you spend a good piece of your life gripping a baseball, and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all the time.

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. issued the following statement Monday in response to Senator Elizabeth Warren’s DNA test claiming Native Heritage:

"A DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship. Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a person’s ancestors were indigenous to North or South America," Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. said. "Sovereign tribal nations set their own legal requirements for citizenship, and while DNA tests can be used to determine lineage, such as paternity to an individual, it is not evidence for tribal affiliation. Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong. It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven. Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage."

But who brought up the dumbassed idea about using one of those test thingies in the first place?

"You know who was fantastic, the United States Coast Guard...

"And I don't know who in this room did it, these guys with the little boats, think they have this great boat, okay. Where do these people come from? They want to go out, and they want to go into the hurricane -- to show their wife how great they are? And then they go out there and say 'Oh my God I'm dead!'...

"In Texas, the United States Coast Guard saved 16,000 lives....

"And next time, all you guys and gals, when there's a hurricane -- do me a favor, don't take your boat out. Just head out of town for a little while...

"FEMA was great, law enforcement was great, first responders were great, the military -- but the Coast Guard represented the military. I'm proud of 'em."

Trumpster Fire.

And for the record it was a person with a small boat that got everyone out of my neighborhood. Only cop I saw during the Hurricane was on dry land with his thumb up his butt.
