Nothing on North Koreas military parade?

Yes, I’m certain that the DPRK is now playing everything on the level now. No chance at all, based on past behavior, that we’re getting taken for a ride here. I’m sure that they’ve just gone ahead and unilaterally denuclearized and stopped ICBM development.

What ride are we taking?

Putin has proven to be adept at knowing how far he can push things without provoking meaningful retaliation.

I dunno about that. Imo he's made some enormous strategic blunders that will keep Russia in some sort of purgatory for a long time.

Strange happenings in New Mexico

A solar observatory in New Mexico was mysteriously evacuated last week and remains shut down until further notice, even as a geomagnetic storm bears down on Earth’s atmosphere.

According to local media, the National Solar Observatory in Sunspot, NM has been closed since last Thursday, along with the nearby post office, and employees affected have no idea why.

The FBI has since showed up to the site and Blackhawk helicopters have been seen circling overhead, but officials remain tight-lipped as to what’s going on, saying only that they are ‘addressing a security issue.’
...
Otero County Sheriff Benny House revealed that even local law enforcement has been kept in the dark, despite being told to stand by.

‘The FBI is refusing to tell us what’s going on,’ House told Alamogordo Daily News.

‘We’ve got people up there that requested us to standby while they evacuate it. Nobody would really elaborate on any of the circumstances as to why.

‘The FBI were up there. What their purpose was nobody will say. But for the FBI to get involved that quick and be so secretive about it, there was a lot of stuff going on up there.

‘There was a Blackhawk helicopter, a bunch of people around antennas and work crews on towers but nobody would tell us anything.’

As of September 11, officials confirmed the facilities were still closed, and would not be reopened until they were given the green light.

‘We were told on September 6th that we would be evacuated along with the surrounding area, we were not told why,’ USPS spokesperson Rod Sturgeon told ABC 7 KVIA.

‘We were just told to be out of the area. We remain suspended until we are allowed to return.’

US border patrol plans to deny entry to Canadians who smoke marijuana legally, work in the industry, or invest in the industry. Good luck with that. Probably should ban all Canadian government workers too, their paycheck partially comes from taxes on marijuana. By this standard 3 if the last 4 presidents couldnt pass the test to get into this country. Pretty sad the standard to get into thus country is higher just to visit than it is to be President.

Lots of informed people are now hypothesizing that this is a counter intelligence operation. The observatory has a clear view of the White Sands test range and another military base, so the theory is that foreign nationals may have installed sensory and transmission equipment on the observatory antenna tower.

The town and observatory have reopened with the explanation that they felt here was a threat of danger to residents and staff. That doesn't really explain the local law enforcement being kept out of the loop, but a counter intel op would.

Murder rate is so bad in Mexico the morgues are full so they had to start loading them into refrigerated trucks. One of those trucks just dumped 157 bodies of murder victims behind a housing complex. Mexico is well over 100,000 murders since the US led war on drugs came to Mexico. 16,000 murders in just the first 6 months of 2018. This is what happens when the government declares all out war on free market economics. People want the products. No matter how many people the government kills or imprisons there will always be a supplier. We get to chose if we want our drugs sold in 7/11 by legitimate businesses or by violent cartels. The only reason its not as bad here is because our economy and living standards are so much better. The higher the poverty the more incentive for corruption.
