Clinch day(?) Sat vs Phiiiies, game 3

Viz and Sobotka could be a shot in the arm for the pen

Looking at all the bullpen options we have, I don't know how in the heck we are going to sort through all of them to pick our playoff roster. We have no less that 12 guys who have an argument.

Minter (lock)
Brach (lock)
Winkler
Carle
Biddle
Vizcaino
Freeman
Jackson (probably not)
Sobotka (I hope)
Venters
Touki (I hope)
And Newcomb assuming he's the odd man out of the rotation

I think we may have to role with a 4 man bench to get the extra bullpen arm.

Duda, Culberson, Zuk/Flowers, Duval is enough of a bench.

Need the extra arms.

If it was me, i'd put Sobotka, Brach, Minter, Winkler, Biddle, Venters, Viz, Touki in the pen. With Sanchez/Julio/Folty/Gaus in the rotation. 4 man bench or use Lane Adams as a pinch runner as Braves76 for a 5 man bench said, standard 8 man lineup.

Shout out to John S., who was the man pulling the strings behind an immaculate three year rebuild they said couldn’t be done. Just masterful work by the hall of fame executive.

I think you meant PR for Adams, that is his role. He can steal a base if needed in a tight game, like he stole third easily against Philly other night.

I was for the rebuild, the farm system was in bad shape, ML team was just average. Something had to be done, but i didnt think we'd break through until 2019. Lot went right this year, mainly from a player development standpoint.

Still think I'd rather carry an extra arm so we have a better chance of exploiting good matchups in the late game

This team has a knack for fighting back and always having a chance so I could see them going pretty deep into the playoffs.

Not me, I actually agree with Heyward here. A speedy pinch runner that can steal bases is key the playoffs. That is why Gore was picked up by Chicago and why the Royals went on a run stealing bases years ago. Adams is that for us and he is needed in tight playoff games.
