My MVP?

Will admit Wren helped a good bit but not to the extent some say.

MVP i'm not sure, the whole team just battles, and never gives up.

And AA is a damn wizard, really improved the roster without touching the farm all that much.

I remember saying that the Gausman trade was the best trade of the deadline. Every stat I looked at with him said that he was going to improve a ton in Atlanta and become at least a #3 with multiple years of control. The fact that we got him for basically nothing is amazing.

Taking stock of the current situation: Our farm has been barely touched, we traded for impact players, we just won the division, and we have 5+ years of control on all our young stars. The only negative I can think of from the deadline is that we didn't do anything to improve our bench, but all in all I think AA has done an AA+ job so far.

Duda, Culberson, Zuk/Flowers, and whoever is a better bench than we've had.

I have faith in Culberson and Duda. We also have the luxury of having either Flowers or Zuk on the bench when the other is starting. I just wish Duval wasn't Duvawful. Because then it would solve a late inning replacement who wouldn't be too much of an offensive liability. But I have a feeling Acuna-Ender-Markakis will play every inning of every game.

Disagree, Culberson and Inciarte are tied for the bronze second half MVP for me. .947 OPS in second half for Culberson. Inciarte over Freeman because similar OPS and Inciarte's great defense in CF. Freeman is certainly a first half MVP though. Given some of Camargo's errors at third you could argue Inciarte as Silver and Camargo Bronze too. It's that close.

I just see Freeman as the anchor, but I don't disagree with your points. Ender has been great the past month. He is a frustrating offensive player, but when he's patient instead of trying to slap anything around he is very effective.

Freeman would get an honorable mention as it is a close race the second half between all those I named IMO. I just cannot leave Ender off that list or Culberson with all their clutch hits and Ender's career year on defense. Culberson had more homers than Freeman the second half in putting up that .947 OPS in 125 or so less ab's, that is impressive.
