Chipper Jones picked the Dodgers to win in 4.

I don't like what seems to have come from the situation, but if I were one of the players, I'd be pissed about it too.

This was Chipper Jones, the face and soul of the Braves for 20 years, just retired last year, having only played for the Braves in his career. I know he's had some moments with quotes to the media, but how can he go on a Braves radio show and say that the Braves will lose? Sure, he can think that and maybe even hint at it, while beating around the bush, but to come flat out and say it? That's not showing any loyalty to his teammates who he was playing with just a year ago.

What a bunch of two year olds. As the saying goes, are they mice or are they men? Prove him wrong and respect what he did for that team for two decades in the meantime.

How tacky.

That's pretty immature of the Braves. Get some thicker skin.

It may be immature, but the team is made up of kids relatively speaking...a little disappointed that McCann didn't step up though.

I think it's pretty funny that the board is telling the team to get thicker skin though when it just about self imploded into a black hole last night.

Talk to me when that CJ is 1% of the player Chipper was.
Okay, let's talk. CJ elevated his game this year with the chance to replace Chipper and was arguably every bit as good as Chipper has been the last several years. He was also more durable. And notice his initials. Coincidence?

So Chris Johnson should be praised for being more durable than a guy that was 40 years old and being just as good offensively as him while being in his prime?

Well if we took 1% of Chippers career numbers than Chris Johnson is better than that player.

I'm just not sure GF understands percentages.

I don't know I didn't really like chippers comment either its his right

but you generally don't see that sort of thing from life long players, hell Dale Murphy wasn't pulling that stuff

Chipper was insulted and rightfully so. All he did was give his honest opinion on who he thought would win the series. It's not like he said he was pulling for the Dodgers to win. I don't see the big deal. Basically we are saying we want Chipper to lie.

Oh and btw, Chipper was right.

I believe Chipper is angry with the Braves for trading Prado. He commented on it as soon as he was traded and also made sure that Prado got a standing ovation from the crowd on the day his number was retired.

That being said, this group of players are being whiny bitches.

Im not saying he has to lie or anything I said its his right and the Braves are probably gonna feel insulted when a life long brave picks against them

Imagine Magic Johnson picking against the Lakers its something hed never do.

i think Chipper is the one being a bitch

but it isn't his team anymore and if he wants to speak his mind, so be it

the team has just as much right to speak their mind too
