Another option is to break Austin Riley in as a platoon player and increase his playing time as he earns it. He might not be a suitable outfielder, but we can overcome that by moving Camargo back and forth between infield and outfield. Given that he came up as a shortstop, Camargo is probably a better candidate to play outfield than Riley.

We also have DuVall, who I am not ready to write off.

I'm actually not ready to write him off either. But I would like to see us grab another right handed platoon bat. If for nothing else to add a little depth, which is probably the biggest difference between us and the Dodgers right now

A switch hitter would make the bench play a lot longer. Happ, Solarte, Walker, Cabrera and Escobar come to mind. Some of them can play the infield and outfield. Even the ones who have rarely played the outfield probably could do so. Or we could give some time to Camargo in the outfield. I suspect he would be a good defender there. Guys who were shortstops in the minors tend to be pretty good in the outfield.
