10/07/18 GDT NLDS Game 3: Dodgers @ Braves The Final Game of 2018

A miracle LA has 2 runs with how many walks the Braves have given so far.

I think folks lost sight of what really happened in that inning.

Gaus gave up a grounder that found a hole, walked Muncy when he had the platoon advantage and a base open, then K'd Machado.

All after coming in with men on base in the middle of an inning, which he never does.

Gaus needs to be back out there until at least Pederson.

Gausman definitely needs to go back for one trip through the order. Make the Dodgers commit to their LHHs if they are going to do that so we can exploit the platoons later. He'll be fine starting an inning.

I probably would have let Newk try to finish the inning but he really left Snit with little choice. He was nowhere close to the plate with the heart of the order up. If Acuna plays fundamental baseball there, it's only 5-1.

Yea but it really didn't look like he had any command of his stuff. Yea I know middle of inning he came in, but no sure thing he'll have it next inning.

All in all he did a really good job. That 2nd run was on Acuna

Freddie has been the most disappointed part about this for me. He’s done absolutely nothing for the team in the playoffs thus far.

Posted by DOB, Snit said, "I talked to Kevin, and he was like, whatever we gotta do. " That sounds to me like a bad reaction and not a "gung ho" attitude.

Agreed, but the plan is to get more than 1 inning out of Gaus vs the RHHs. He needs to go until Pederson comes up at least.

I'm guessing he looks better this inning.
