Adam Wainwright (with Marquis/King) for JD Drew (1 yr) & Eli Marrero. :facepalm:

Wish we could have a do-over on that trade.
 
At least Drew had a great year. Nice to trade for/sign someone and actually have them perform.
 
Worst trade in Braves history. Wainwright was a local boy who could have been a Braves lifer. Now he will be a HOF pitcher with a Cardinal cap.
 
Was listening to a radio interview with Jeff Passan (spelling?) of Yahoo Sports who was talking about how Wainright has grown up and emerged as a leader after coming up as a kid in the Cardianls' organization.

Made me a little sad.
 
Wainwright trade still pisses me off more than the Tex trade.

Only player I'd want back from Tex is Feliz pre injury.

Simmons is better than Andrus.

A legit ace on this team, sigh....

Would we even still have him on the team at this point? Great chance we wouldn't have been able to afford to keep him.

Probably not but then again if we had 15mm to just give away to Lowe and B.J. then maybe. Doesn't really matter and JS screwing our future just so he could keep his division streak in tact really pisses me off. The bad part is those teams never went anywhere but had they won a WS it'd be different.
 
Watching Moneyball right now before the game and pulling for the A's. If they don't win, I'm all in on the Tigers. Tired of Boston and will bite my tongue and root for the Cardinals over the Dodgers but don't want either one winning.

Salty would make a great replacement for McCann.
 
Yeah, I am very excited for Bethancourt. Just skeptical he will hit enough to surpass what Salty is. Could possibly be a Molina though, so there is hope.
