Federal prosecutors in Manhattan are investigating whether President Trump’s 2017 inaugural committee misspent some of the record $107 million it raised from donations, people familiar with the matter said.

The criminal probe by the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office, which is in its early stages, also is examining whether some of the committee’s top donors gave money in exchange for access to the incoming Trump administration, policy concessions or to influence official administration positions, some of the people said.

Giving money in exchange for political favors could run afoul of federal corruption laws. Diverting funds from the organization, which was registered as a nonprofit, could also violate federal law.

Maybe that's why Individual-1 kept bragging about the crowd size and how much bigger his inauguration was than Obama's. Justify the spending which was more expensive than BO's inauguration parties.

I think Christie’s declining the job makes sense in that context. That’s probably not the only reason, though. I think this job has got to be considered pretty radioactive. You’re supposed to give counsel to a guy who doesn’t listen to advice, and maintain discipline in an environment where there’s none at the top, and a bunch of courtiers probably eager to throw each other to the wolves. Aside from that, there’s the nearly inevitable prospect of huge legal fees and the legit chance of being invited into a criminal conspiracy.

Before McMaster took the NSA job, it was apparently offered to another general, who declined and reportedly called it a “**** sandwich.” This is no different.
 
Theres nothing like hearing fat **** Christie say we cant legalize marijuana because its unhealthy. Pretty sure its worse to be 300 pounds.
