Braves Mets tomorrow

Yeah, that's what I wanted. I want to play with 24 guys.

Actually, I just prefer a DH type bat first guy in that spot.

Culberson's our only other legit depth piece if Camargo will be used all over the field.

Obviously you guys disagree with me. I'm not claiming to have a better idea of roster construction... I would just prefer a better bat in that spot. If a need arose, I just think glove first, light hitting MIFs aren't that hard to get

A lefty bat would make sense. Duda was too limited defensively. But someone like he who can play multiple positions. Like Dietrich.

You mean Dietrich, the former Georgia Tech yellow jacket who told me that he would love to play for the Braves this season but instead signed with the Reds for peanuts since the Braves told him they had no interest.
Even with us having Camargo and CC seems he would have been a perfect fit on this team and really good value which I’ve heard the Braves like...

I'm still sort of shocked that we haven't tried to sign at least one guy like that to get another bat on the bench who is at least semi capable. They are signing for nothing at the moment.

The Lineup:

Charlie Culberson 2B
Johan Camargo SS
Adam Duvall LF
Austin Riley 3B
Rafael Ortega RF
Alex Jackson C
Christian Pache CF
Greyson Jenista DH
Drew Lugbauer 1B

Touki Toussaint pitching

Game is at Port St.Lucie which is a long drive from Orlando so naturally, the veterans stayed home.

Write up on Greyson Jenista who i've never heard of: Prospectslive.com

15. Greyson Jenista, OF/1B

Age: 21 (12/7/96)

Highest Level: A+

.265/.328/.395, 4 HR, .130 ISO, 102 wRC+, 9.2% BB, 16.3 K%, 4 SB

The Braves took Jenista 49th overall in the 2018 draft. He shows an advanced approach with a good feel for the barrel. Jenista struggles against offspeed, especially changeups, often lunging onto his front foot. While his hands are strong enough to find the barrel, this tends to zap his game power. He has good size and present strength that should translate into plus game power with improved pitch recognition. Jenista moves well for a bigger guy and profiles as a left fielder-first baseman. ETA: 2021

Nice debut for Jenista. Based on his 2018, hopeful he'll fast track like an older college player should.

The game is on MLB network this morning. I was expecting Pache to look more slight than he is.

Was the contact off allard hard? Think he got 7 ground balls off the 10 guys he faced. Hopefully he can keep the ball on the ground and be useful

they don't always listen to me

That's cuz there is not room for that guy as long as we have Camargo, Duvall, Culberson and catcher slated for our 4-man bench. The issue is we have 2 righties (Duvall and Culberson) and a switch hitter who hits better from the right side (Camargo) when most late inning high leverage situations are likely to call for a lefty pinch hitter. Something to fix at the deadline.

Some of it was. His changeup induced weak contact. Couldnt lovate the few curves he threw. Fastball is imminently hittable.

If he has any chance of being a mlb starter that curve has to become a plus pitch.
