The Trump Presidency

It looks like the WH has scheduled the dinner with the NK dictator to coincide exactly with Michael Cohen's public testimony. They really do have a sense of humor.

What will Trump do during the dinner to distract attention away from Cohen?

Hopefully accomplish something far more important and meaningful in the world than Michael Cohen

Do you mean to forgive North Korea, legitimize them and wipe away the last 50 years of foreign policy toward them with nothing but a wink and a nod in return?

That's low and dirty and is going to make the GOP look even worse when Cohen says, my wife knows everything. They showed their hand too early. The threat made public loses its power.

This one is a head-scratcher.

It seems that details of Cohen's Senate testimony behind closed doors leaked and the GOP in the House is panicking.

"Mr. Trump directed me to find a straw bidder to purchase a portrait of him that was being auctioned at an Art Hamptons Event. The objective was to ensure that his portrait, which was going to be auctioned last, would go for the highest price of any portrait that afternoon. The portrait was purchased by the fake bidder for $60,000. Mr. Trump directed the Trump Foundation, which is supposed to be a charitable organization, to repay the fake bidder, despite keeping the art for himself. Please see Exhibit 3B to my testimony."

lmao imagine admiring that guy hahahahaha

"When I say conman, I’m talking about a man who declares himself brilliant but directed me to threaten his high school, his colleges, and the College Board to never release his grades or SAT scores.

As I mentioned, I’m giving the Committee today copies of a letter I sent at Mr. Trump’s direction threatening these schools with civil and criminal actions if Mr. Trump’s grades or SAT scores were ever disclosed without his permission. These are Exhibit 6.

The irony wasn’t lost on me at the time that Mr. Trump in 2011 had strongly criticized President Obama for not releasing his grades. As you can see in Exhibit 7, Mr. Trump declared “Let him show his records” after calling President Obama “a terrible student.”

what a man

lol can you be dumb enough to think trump will get NK to denuclearize? to change anything they do? can you truly be that naive?

By my count, they've stopped missile testing and are having peace talks with South Korea.

By my count, you are actively rooting against the progress so you can blame Trump.

Maybe it will all fail, but why the **** shouldn't we try?

(By the way, I dont think NK needs to denuclearize)

target rich environment

Cohen suggested federal prosecutors in New York are investigating some unspecified crime involving Trump, declining to answer questions about his last conversation with the president because of a request that he not discuss an ongoing inquiry.

Oversight Committee member Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Ill.) pressed Cohen on his final conversations with the Trump. The last time they spoke, Cohen said, occurred about two months after the FBI raided his home and office last April — but he could not disclose what was said, he continued.

“Unfortunately, this topic is actually something that is being investigated right now by the Southern District of New York, and I’ve been asked by them not to discuss, and not to talk about these issues,” Cohen said.

Krishnamoorthi followed up: “Is there any other wrongdoing or illegal act that you are aware of regarding Donald Trump that we haven’t yet discussed today?”

“Yes, and again, those are part of the investigation that is currently being looked at by the Southern District of New York,” Cohen responded.

I had a situation at work once where one of my co-workers was preparing a report to the board. Our boss reviewed his presentation, then told him “these numbers aren’t right. Fix them.” Co-worker replied that they were right. Boss looked directly at him, and said “They’re not. Fix them.”

The implication was clear. Now, did the boss direct him to fudge the numbers? No, not in so many words. Was that precisely what was going on? Absolutely.

This is exactly what Cohen described. He wasn’t directly instructed to lie, but it was made clear to him that his testimony was supposed to align with Trump’s message.

Don’t feed the troll.

Or if you insist, BuzzFeed links satiate.

How pathetic are the democrats to coach and massage the timing of the Cohen hearings to take away from the summitt in vietnam.

Really just a sad collection of hacks

Where is the WH leadership while a real emergency is taking place between India and Pakistan? Off having a fake summit between 2 despots who both desperately want the world to take them seriously. They really have so much in common beyond the hair.

Look at notes....

How can we flip this historic news to make trump look bad.

So sad...

Yes, it is indeed sad Trump is dragging the government for a photo op on the other side of the world.

The "historic" fake summit ends in NO NUKE DEAL. Which could've easily been avoided if we had a functioning State Department or a President with a lick of sense. He just wanted a few moments away from the Cohen scandals.

How much money did this fake summit cost tax payers?

North Korea Talks: I'd much rather do it the right way than fast.

The Wall: I didn't need to do this but I'd rather do this much faster.

Then why didn't he already know that NK needed sanctions dropped? Looks like he thought he'd be able to BS his way into some deal. If he really were a great deal maker, he'd be thinking incrementally instead of the all or nothing approach.

This is the kind of work his State Department should be doing.
